Synopsis —
Based on an idea conceived by Sarah Wun, a woman affected by a cleft condition, and drawing from her own past experiences, "remnants" is an experimental and experiential film that illuminates a traumatic journey. It weaves together evocative imagery and striking sound design to showcase the realization of finding strength in oneself. Through a feverish dream-like nightmare, she relives the painful moments of her past surgery, battling through the experience with a fragmented, frenzied aerial dance. The film culminates in her overcoming her trauma, and discovering inner peace and acceptance.
CAUTION ADVISED: Some brief disturbing images.
